Structures and Processes

The diagnostics exam will consist of an online cognitive abilities examination as well as written tests in Mathematics and English. All application information and diagnostic results are submitted to subject heads and the principal in order for them to assess and validate the recommendations for a seat at school. The process will take between 7 and 14 school days to complete. Students will be placed according to their ability for Mathematics and English. This is to prepare them for Year 10 and Year 11.

The programmes and co-curriculum are to equip students be future ready. This programme intends to in incorporating social effect into teaching. In this way, we can instil students the behaviour, skills, thinking, and attitude necessary for developing, testing, and launching long-term innovative solutions to social and environmental concerns.

Assessment

Aligning activities and assessments reduces wasted time by allowing students to focus on skills that are relevant to the learning objectives. Aligning the assessment with the learning outcomes ensures that students understand how their progress will be monitored. Methods for monitoring student learning are:

  • Summative evaluations are examinations, quizzes, and other graded course activities used to assess student progress.
  • Formative assessment – any method of providing pupils with advice and guidance on their relative performance in order to help them develop. This assessment are conducted in school at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.

Student of Year 11 will sit for IGCSE November/December examination. Exam fees are set each year by the Exam Boards. The fees will vary depending on the subjects taken. The Examinations Officer will send a letter outlining the fees and payment instructions to parents whose children are sitting these tests. Candidates are fully responsible to know the dates, details and instructions of their examinations. Append a copy of the Internal Examination and IGCSE Regulations of Examination.

The social entrepreneur skill grade would measure and evaluate behavior skills in class: knowledge, attitude and skills. Attitudes are assessed and inculcated (e.g., respect for socio-cultural diversity, sensitivity to rights of others, teamwork, lifelong learning). The skills measured by the students’ achievement of the learning outcomes.
